On this day, 13th January 1819, HMS Mermaid is anchored in Outer Bay (Pilot Bay) Macquarie Harbour 13th January 1819. Onboard is Allan Cunnngham accompanying Phillip Parker King on his survey of the coast south of Port Jackson and Van Diemen’s Land. 1
